The Investigators at Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. each have an average of more than twenty-five years experience in the investigative field. Many have come to the company after highly successful careers in Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement. Their institutional knowledge, experience and professionalism are beyond compare.

Cliff Trotter and Don Longo actively manage and supervise the Investigations Section to ensure that every client receives the highest degree of service and expertise.

CLIFFORD S. TROTTER – Cliff Trotter is a licensed and bonded Private Investigator and is the President of Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. Cliff has more than thirty-five years experience in the investigative field.

Cliff Trotter began his adult life by joining the Armed Forces at the age of seventeen when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. During a number of his four years in the service Cliff served as a Radarman on the venerable aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, and had the pleasurable responsibility of helping to recover some of the country’s first astronauts after splash down.

Cliff’s keen sense of deductive reasoning made him a natural for a career in investigations, and he is one of the relatively few specialists in the trade to have attained the status of Certified Master Investigator. Cliff is affiliated with the Association of Licensed Detectives of New York State and is a member of the National Association of Investigative Specialists. His experience and his vast knowledge of investigative techniques have caused Cliff to be recognized as a sought after lecturer at a number of colleges. He has often been called upon to deliver presentations at law firms and insurance liability carriers. He is recognized in the industry as the consummate Investigator.

Cliff’s pride in his work, and his determination to provide his clients with services and reports that are unsurpassed have propelled Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. to one of the most successful investigative firms in the field.

DONALD LONGO – Don Longo joined Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. as the Operations Manager after retiring from a decorated career as a Police Officer and Sergeant with the Suffolk County Police Department in New York. Don is a licensed and bonded Private Investigator registered with the New York Department of State.

Don enlisted in the military in 1968 at the age of eighteen, serving as a Ranger with the U.S. Army Special Forces as well as with the U.S. Air Force’s Operation Safeside. Completing his enlistment after four years of active duty, Don accepted an investigative position with the Pinkerton Detective Agency and then joined the Police Department in 1975. While a member of the Police Department, Don worked a number of assignments, including the Joint Terrorist Task Force with the F.B.I., and was the recipient of more than twenty Departmental commendations and awards.

Don’s investigative methods include a blend of old-world sleuthing and modern high-tech computer savvy. His law enforcement experience, coupled with his dogged determination to see a case through to its successful completion, make him well suited to his position with the firm.

KIM VLACICH – Kim Vlacich is an Investigative Specialist who joined Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. after serving as a Police Officer with the New York Police Department. Her academic achievements include attaining a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice.

Kim currently heads the Trial Preparation Section of the company where her primary duties include the review, examination and preparation of cases in litigation for our attorney clients. Kim’s keen sense of organization and outstanding people skills, combined with her ability to efficiently multitask, make her a natural for this position within the organization.

JENNIFER HOEFFNER – Jennifer Hoeffner is the Administrative Manager at Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. In addition to maintaining up to date records on hundreds of active files, and managing the administrative functions of the office, Jennifer is also an experienced member of our Research Team.

CAMILLE ALTRUDA – Camille Altruda is the newest addition to the administrative staff at Clifford S. Trotter Associates, Inc. Her administrative experience in the legal field, combined with her outstanding office skills, has made her an integral part of the operation.
